Talk about creative ways to use connectors! At this trade show in Orlando FL recently, the booth itself was constructed with mostly 5.5” corner and splice connectors, along with other improvised connections. The Trekking Group operates out of CT and had the booth made for them by White North Timberframes, also in CT. The booth was created, broken down and shipped for set up at the trade show. It was then taken down and shipped back without a hitch. Didier said, “There were over 300 people at our booth. For sure we talked about your connectors…it was so easy to put together!”

Picture Frame Deck in Ottawa

In his spare time, Michael began working on the Asian pagoda style beams over a picture framed deck six months ago. He took extra care with the Doug Fir 8” x 8” beams, all burnt in the traditional Shou Sugi Ban method with coats of teak oil for extra protection and to bring out the color. The varying elevations were easy with the risers and concrete pads. He admits it will not be finished this year and looks forward to next spring.
