Post-to-Base Screw Placement (Concrete Installations)

For all Connext post-to-base connectors installed into concrete, follow the standardized screw pattern shown above.

Key Guidelines

  • Use (4) concrete screws per connector

  • Install screws in the green hole locations shown here

  • This applies to all connector sizes

Why Only 4 Screws?

Our engineering has standardized a 4-screw pattern to:

  • Ensure proper load transfer into the concrete

  • Maintain optimal spacing between anchors

  • Prevent over-fastening or unnecessary stress in the slab

  • Provide consistent, repeatable installation across all sizes

What About the Other Holes?

You may notice additional holes in each connector.

  • These are not used for concrete installations

  • They are designed for wood-to-wood connections, where all holes should be filled

Installation Tips

  • Drill pilot holes: 1/4" diameter x 5.5" depth, with a minimum 5.5" embedment.

  • Drill clean holes and remove debris before installing screws

  • Avoid over-torquing fasteners
